This co-curricular course offers instrumental ensemble instruction directed towards the attainment of: musical styles and quality literature; proper individual playing habits; proper ensemble habits; basic elements of music; and responsibilities as they relate to individuals and to the group. Through warm-ups, scale and technical drills, and performance repertoire, attention is given to: tone – blend; technique; rhythmic reading; appropriate style; phrasing; intonation; and theory – history.
Typically two or three concerts will be performed each year; in addition to participation in town events, and the annual Memorial Day parade, and graduation.
After School Help Day
Mr. Williams stays after school on Fridays from 2:00-3:30p for students requesting assistance or wanting to use a practice room. If no students are signed up for staying after by 2:00p, Mr. Williams may not stay after. Pleaselet Mr. Williams know you plan to stay.
Mr. Williams usually stays after on Tuesday and Thursday to work. Although he may not be availble for one-on-one assistance, students may sign up to stay after and use a practice room from 2:00-4:00.

The purpose of the Massachusetts Music Educators Association, Western District Music Education Scholarship is to assist worthy students in meeting the cost of attending an accredited 4-year college in preparation for a career in music education.
