Granby Music Parents' Association

The Granby Music Parents' Association (GMPA) is a non-profit organization open to anyone with an interest in supporting music in the Granby Public Schools.

This is the biggest year for the GMPA to date, as we raise funds to support our annual endeavors while also raising funds to offset the expense of our Band Director and Junior High Band Members invitation to present at a National Music Education Conference in Washington, D.C.

Our Role:

  • Assist and support the music educators in providing and maintaining a music program that is educational, enjoyable, and rewarding.
  • Serve as a music advocacy group supporting the entire music program.
  • Fundraising to provide means for students to have music experiences beyond what the school can provide, not as a replacement for school funding to justified programs. (Awards, festival participation, special equipment, trips, supplies, etc)
  • Chaperone and transportation support.
  • Publicity and community awareness.

2009-2010 Elected Officers:

  • Bridget Roy, President
  • Shellie Roule, Vice President
